A Church After God’s Own Heart

Going all in on Jesus

2024 Theme at Lutheran Church of Hope: A Church After God’s Own Heart

After a year of reading through the Whole Holy Bible, it simply makes sense that we’d focus on living it out! We’ll engage in ten different sermon series over the next 12 months that challenge us as individuals and as a church to draw closer to God and live out our faith in action. You’re invited to join us as we focus on the four “G’s”: Gather, Grow, Group and Give!

Gather

“For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” Matthew 4:10

God desires for us to worship! We make weekly worship and gathering in community a priority. Gathering is never a ‘have to;’ it’s a ‘get to!’ We invite you to join us for weekly worship; Saturdays, 5:00 pm, Sundays, 8:00, 9:15, 10:00, and 11:00 am.

Grow

“You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever!” – 2 Peter 3:18-19

God desires for us to grow – grow in faith and in community! We have many ways for you to step into your faith-growing journey. Check out various classes, like Alpha, or small groups that meet throughout the year!

Group

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42

God desires for us to be surrounded by supportive and loving community! We know that growth happens best in small group communities. Jesus had 12 disciples, and an even closer group of three. Hope can feel like a really large place and small groups are a great way to make this large place feel smaller. We’d love for you to get connected and find your community; let us know if you want some help getting plugged in!

Give

“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’” – 2 Corinthians 9:7

God desires for us to give our time, talents, and treasures! As we learn to live out a life after God’s own heart, a huge part of that is growing as givers. We encourage you to pray about what you might want to give this year—whether giving of our time by volunteering or going on a mission trip, giving of our gifts as we step into a new role (maybe leading a group or class), or giving of material things, like finances, we trust that God is a far better steward of our resources than we ever could be!
