Whole Holy Bible in a Year

Read It. Learn It. Live It.

The Whole Holy Bible in a Year

Strengthen your faith and experience new life in Christ as we read, understand and apply God’s word to daily life! We have an easy-to-follow reading plan (that includes both New & Old Testament Readings), audio recordings, podcasts and more to help you along your way. When we did this as a whole church in 2023, lives were changed, faith was deepened, and the Bible was experienced in profound ways. Follow along with our updated 2024 plan and experience it for yourself as you Read It, Learn It and Live It!

How to READ IT

A Daily Bible Reading Plan (that includes both New & Old Testament Readings) has been put together specifically for the Whole Holy Bible in a Year!

To track your progress throughout the year, download and print our daily Bible reading checklist!

FREE Bibles are available at Café Hope in both English and Spanish for anyone in need of one! If you would like to purchase a study Bible, those are also available (all proceeds from Café Hope go to Hope’s local and global mission partners). If you are needing a Bible in a different language, please connect with us and we’d love to help!

How to LEARN IT

The Daily Bible Reading Plan coincides with weekend worship! Each weekend we will teach on the New Testament readings that you read that week (the reading plan starts on Mondays and goes through Sundays). After doing your daily readings all week, come to worship to learn more and dive deeper into what you read!

Pastor Mike Drop Live! episodes featuring Pastor Mike and co-host Emily Langpaul include weekly discussions on the Bible readings! Watch past episodes on YouTube!

God’s Story for Kids – a podcast for kids to explore the Bible in a fun way – will be available for families every Monday! Visit HopeKids’ YouTube channel to check it out!

Devotions for adults are written daily by various Hope pastors and staff, expanding on the daily readings. Devotions for families are also available, linked below!

Our weekly Sermon Discussion Guide can be found here. This is a great resource for groups and individuals looking to expand on the weekend’s teachings.

An on-demand “Intro to the Bible” class, which includes a free study guide and video teachings by Hope pastors, is available here. This class is a great way to receive an overview of the story of the Bible, taking a 30,000-foot view from Genesis to Revelation, at your own pace.

How to LIVE IT

How to LIVE IT

“We’re better together!” We tend to say that a lot around here. And, we say it because it’s true. God created us to live in community with one another! Hope Groups are small groups of people who meet regularly to pray together, connect in Christ-centered relationships, grow in their relationship with God and serve the world around them. If you aren’t in a group, start thinking about who you might be able to form one with! Or, join us for Hope Groups Kickoff (offered again in October) where participants will meet new people, form a group, read the Bible together and make a plan for continuing on together for a year to read the whole Bible!

Volunteer!

Serving others is one of the greatest blessings God offers us! Acts of selfless service allow us to bring glory to God and shine his light in this world. Whether you are looking to serve at Hope Ankeny, in our community or with one of our global mission partners around the world, we invite you to prayerfully consider where God may be nudging you to get involved!

Pray!

Through prayer, God connects to us and then we connect to each other. God wants us to talk to him! Hope offers a variety of ways to grow in your prayer life, including several ways to receive prayer, as well as pray for others. Learn more here!
